Whatcom Farmhouse

Futurewise Whatcom is working to promote healthy communities and cities while protecting farmland, forests and shorelines today and for future generations.

A small group of local citizens formed a Whatcom County chapter of Futurewise in April 2007 called Futurewise Whatcom (FWW). Since then, we have been active in three areas: raising money to hire a fulltime Program Director for Whatcom County, attracting a large base of members/activists, and addressing some of the pressing growth-management issues in Whatcom County. Our local steering committee includes:

Eric Hirst, President
Michael Lilliquist
Charlie Maliszewski, Treasurer
