In order to significantly reduce climate emissions, we must make responsible decisions now so we can reduce driving and promote efficient, livable communities.
The Senate passed a concurrence vote on the house changes to Local Solutions to Global Warming today, March 10th.  The bill now goes to the Governor for her signature!

Local Solutions to Global Warming represents a critical first steps to addressing the land use contribution to climate change.

The environmental community selected the “Local Solutions to Global Warming” bill (SHB2797/ SSB6580) as one of the Priorities for a Healthy Washington because the choices that we make today about how we manage growth lock us into patterns that determine our global warming pollution for decades.  In order to achieve the State’s goal of significantly reducing climate emissions, we must make responsible decisions now so we can reduce driving and meet the growing demand for green, walkable communities.
